Profile Dr. Ohtori joined Tokyo City University in 2017 as a professor. He holds a B.S.and M.S. in Civil Engineering (Nagaoka University of Technology 1988, 1990). He also obtained Doctor's degree at Nagaoka University of Technology (1996) and MBA(MOT) at Waseda University (2009). He joined Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry in 1990. He was a Post-doctoral research associate at University of Notre Dame in 1998-1999. He also served as a deputy associate vice president from 2014-2017. Dr. Ohtori has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in mechanics of material, structural dynamics, and structural reliability.
He is a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ), Atomic Energy Society of Japan (AESJ), Electric Power Civil Engineering Association, Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) and The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME).
