Profile My research interest is the observational cosmology via direct observations of the Extragalactic Background Light (EBL) as an integrated light of all light sources outside of our Galaxy. For the EBL direct observations, space-based observations are required to escape from the strong terrestrial atmospheric emissions. In addition, it is essentially important to evaluate and subtract the foreground radiations of our Solar system (the zodiacal light, ZL) and our Galaxy (the diffuse Galactic light, DGL). In this process, nearby universe (Solar system and our Galaxy) can be also investigated by ZL and DGL using the same observational data set. This is the unique point of my research.
