TCU Research Directory 2018 277 相談に応じられるテーマMy general, long-term research themes are to continue writing and publishing fiction as well as nonfiction. I want to try to find a print publisher for my third novel and my fourth manuscript, which is narrative nonfiction that I want to rework to make it more commercially appealing. And I want to read and write critically about my favorite modernist authors; I’m interested in the short stories of Ernest Hemingway and want to teach them in my seminar.研究内容と目指すものI’m now copy editing my second novel which is in press at this moment. It’s 266 pages and set in both Japan and the United States of America. The publisher is an esteemed relatively new house known for keeping its authors in print. The publication date is November 8, 2018, so I will be actively involved in promoting it by giving readings, hosting book signings, and getting it out there on social media, etc.最近の研究テーマ外部資金● Along with a few colleagues at Tokyo City University, I was awarded a “Kakenhi” in 2017 and it’s being carried over to this year. 知的財産権・関連論文情報・著書● Writing in English● Literature● English educationキーワードMADEEN Eric 准教授マディン エリック外国語MADEEN研究室所属研究室共通教育部 外国語共通教育センター基礎研究人文学所属English novels, Literature, English writingUpcoming Novel● “MASSAGE WORLD — The Novel.” Anaphora Literary Press.
