JST – Sakura Science Exchange Program:Online Symposium on “Exchange on Latest Researches in the Field of Information Processing and Communication and Urban Engineering and Strengthening Collaboration between the Two Universities” (Oct. 6)

On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, under the Sakura Science Program, TCU (Department of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Urban Engineering and Department of Information Science) and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT), Thammasat University, Thailand, jointly organized the above mentioned symposium with the participation of students and faculty members from both universities.

The program began with an introduction to the two universities by faculty members and TCU students, followed by a virtual tour of Tokyo and an introduction to student life by SIIT students, and then research exchanges in the fields of urban engineering and information.

The exchange between SIIT and TCU, now in its sixth year, provided an opportunity for participants from both universities to gain new knowledge and skills, as well as an opportunity for Tohoku University students who assisted in the organisation of the symposium to gain valuable experience.
