Profile My research subject is "architecture". "Architecture" has various functions and meanings. It is not only a device for maintaining people's lives, but also a representation of thought and culture. I would like to consider architecture as an art from an engineering point of view. By looking at architecture, we hope that people will become more attached to where they live.
Architecture with engraved memories is history like a book tells. And it also affects people's memory. I would like to think about architecture and memory as well as various problems related to the remains of the earthquake that occurred after the Great East Japan Earthquake.I am conducting research and conservation activities centered on architecture built in the 1920s and 30s. In particular, he worked on architects Chikatada Kurata, Bunzo Yamaguchi, and modern Sukiya, and his house, Kimura Kimura's house, and tea room. We also conduct surveys to designate modern architecture as important cultural goods and supervise exhibitions.
