Profile Yoshihiro Sato is a lecturer of Department of Design of Data sciences, Tokyo City University. He received his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Tokyo City University in 2017, 2019, and 2022. He was a post-doctoral researcher at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) after receiving his Ph.D.. He is currently a lecturer at Tokyo City University since 2023, and a visiting researcher of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) since 2023. His research interests are mainly image processing, Image analysis, 3D processing, and artificial intelligence. Details of each Research Field are listed in "Research Field (Keyword & Summary)."
Research Field(Keyword & Summary)
  1. Image Processing

Research is being conducted on pre-processing and super-resolution to facilitate the analysis of camera images and other data. Specifically, research is being conducted on noise reduction for rain, snow, and salt and pepper noise, as well as on super-resolution and data interpolation methods for application to analysis methods.

  2. Image Analysis

Research is being conducted on structural analysis and structure recognition from various image data, such as monochrome, color, 3D, and electron microscope data. Specifically, in black-and-white and color images, we are studying animal body recognition and face recognition; in 3D images, we are studying object shape recognition and architectural structure analysis; and in electron microscope images, we are looking at structure analysis in the material structure. In electron microscope images, we analyze filler structures in material forms.

  3. 3D Processing

The research covers the handling of 3D images to 3D stereoscopic displays. For 3D stereoscopic displays, we also incorporate naked-eye 3D displays and airborne levitation displays to make it easier to recognize the results after 3D processing.

  4. Artificial Intelligence

Research on face recognition, structural analysis, signal recognition, and noise reduction in artificial intelligence using big data is being conducted. Recently, as an interdisciplinary fusion researcher, he has been working with seismologists on structural analysis of 3D point clouds of earthquake epicenter distribution.
