Profile There are two major research themes: “Big Data Analysis” and “Operations Research”. What is common to all our researches is that we develop methods (algorithms) and software to analyze the acquired data in detail, and apply them to actual data to interpret and use the results.

Prof. Takahashi’s impression written by students: Prof. Takahashi is very enthusiastic about his and our researches and sometimes gives me strict and sometimes gentle guidance. Thanks to his enthusiastic guidance, the students of our research group made presentations at various conferences and meetings, and won the prizes at various international conferences. If you want to concentrate on the researches, this group is very comfortable for you.
Research Field(Keyword & Summary)
  1. Big Data Analysis is divided into three sub-themes: gravitational wave data analysis (astrophysics), feature extraction using artificial intelligence and machine learning (sensor data), and applications to education. In the field of operations research, we are developing modeling and analysis methods and software to enable unskilled people and computers to make decisions based on data, instead of decisions based on the intuition and experience of skilled people. We will continue to use various data to develop our research and to work with students, companies, and local governments on research topics that are needed in the real world using a variety of data.
