TCU held An International Students Introduction Party (10th, Apr.)
An International Students Introduction Party was held on 10th, Apr. 2024 (Wednesday) at Setagaya Campus, which was to help the newly enrolled international students adjust quickly to the study environment at Tokyo City University (TCU).
This event was planned, organized, and implemented by the members of International Students Association (ISA) of TCU, which consists of both Japanese and international students. ISA’s aim is to provide an opportunity for international students to quickly adjust to their new university environment, understand Japanese culture and traditions, and connect with new friends and community.
Firstly, the international freshmen met their "buddies", Japanese volunteers from the upper grades who provide support for their lives at TCU. Then, the participating students deepened their understandings of each other through introductions of their own culture and traditions and games. In the latter half of the party, a course counseling session was held to help international students smoothly complete their courses to be registered successfully.
Tokyo City University has put in place a system to help the international students feel as comfortable as possible in their studies and research activities in Japan.
